I actually date new posts now by checking on Flickr's 'this picture was taken on...' otherwise I won't even remember when. It was my first trip to China and we went to Hangzhou - Huangshan - Shanghai, and went on to Beijing then back to Hangzhou for the return flight. I was a tad disappointed that China was not as cheap as I imagined. :/ Otherwise, it was as beautiful as I imagined it to be. Thanks to my travel companion for her tolerance and company, I appreciate it lots!

Enroute to THE West Lake. The West Lake is HUGE, there are highlights to cover along different parts of the lake (grab a brochure), you can choose to cycle or take a bus round it alternatively.

Took very long to find this discrete place (it was right in front of our eyes), had trouble making reservations, had to share a table (an experience, I must say), more importantly, the food wasn't worth the time looking for and queuing. You are greeted by an automatic voice 'Granny asks you to eat!' in Mandarin no less
