Kathmandu, Nepal

We were in Nepal mainly for our Annapurna Base Camp trek, but Kathmandu and Pokhara are lovely places to visit in their own right, and I do wish we had more time to wander and get lost. Nepal is landlocked by India and China, and the Indian influence is undeniable, yet Nepal manages to retain charms of its own.

The streets of Thamel, great for stocking on some backpacking wares

Kathmandu

Kathmandu

Follow me as I explore...

The sleepiness of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The seriousness of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The friendliness of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The congestion of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The order of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The food of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The handicraft of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The quirkiness of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

The opening up of Kathmandu

Kathmandu

And the carefree-ness of Kathmandu.
