Paris, France: Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is probably the most iconic structure in Paris. You can walk from the end of Palais de Chaillot (best view here), cross the River Seine, finally ending at Ecole Militaire (Tower was in the shade when I reached this end). Although I had a view of the Tower from underneath it, I don't have a view of it from the top. And there are awesome views of the Tower from the sides (just search for "wedding shots with Eiffel Tower").

The walk from one end to the other took about a good 1 hour, but I didn't pose for clique touristy shots.

After the walk, you can head over to the Army Museum, Musee Rodin or Invalides.

My friend once asked if I passed the Carousel, I said no. Can't trust my memories much.

There are booths to purchase tickets to scale the Tower, for another time.

The Parc du Champ de Mars is a lovely park to laze around, picnic and take jump shots with the Tower in the background. But not in the mid-late afternoon when the Tower is in the shadows. It's also hard to get a shot of the Tower without people in it. Your best bet is still on the steps of Palais de Chaillot.

The Eiffel Tower is not included in the Paris Museum Pass.
