Bali was amazing, we had a Groupon for a villa (under $300 for 2 pax), got upgraded to a 3-room due to overbooking. The downside, it was so relaxing after spartan quarters in Yogya, an extremely long bus ride, a creepy night.... Too relaxed, we'd rather stay in than out. I love Bali's KFC! Not many photos thereafter, I will do a brief summary.
We checked out as soon as the roosters crowed, tried to find a cab that went by meter to the villa (can't remember if we went by meter or not in the end, most likely, not). Teksi driver got lost because the villa was poorly located off the main road (which explained the low price), driver was definitely not happy at the end. Bali is huge, cabs are really expensive, so it really pays to get a guide (I will be back much wiser for the next trip, Bali!)

At the airport
The villa was amazing, the service was good, breakfast was included, and we upgraded to a full massage. Location was bad but there was a free shuttle to Semiyak Square (nothing much there, except Black Canyon, which spurred my Matcha craze) with tons of convenience stores (go to a local shop, much much cheaper). Furthest we went was the Kuta Green Water Park, extremely far, I must apologise because as the meter jumped, my face turned blacker, but it was a shared decision (I know you bought it because you know I love water parks, so don't feel guilty, buddy!!) and the further it was, the fewer tourists there were. The teksi driver should have warned us (more pissed with him)!!!
Be careful shopping at DPN Airport, it's unlike any other.
Also learnt that, as much as I love saving AND spending money, I really love a GOOD DEAL the best. Cheap and good, like KFC. No KFC feast photos, sadly. Why I love hostels - I just need a place to sleep at night, if the room is too good (like the Bali villa or MBS kind), I really have no mood to leave the room. How sad will that be?
