As always, I like to wander and get lost. Along the way in Nara, I discovered some hidden gems. Best of all, they are priceless, both figuratively and literally.
1. This view
...taken from the rooftop garden at the Nara Prefectural Office located near the train station. It's free, take the lift up and ask for directions if necessary.
2. This lake
...where the Ukimido Pavilion is built on.
3. This garden
...which is the Youshikien Garden. It happens to be free for tourists but 250 yen for locals, which is rare.
