I'm back from Indonesia, the land of hidden treasures (and batik and Bali), with many things to be thankful for including the company, the local people, the food, the sights, and the sounds. I am Grateful that all went well, despite Indon folks not being particularly tourist-savvy (which is charming), food being predominantly AYAM, and Indo pop being surprisingly good. Did I mention that I'm definitely more tolerant to spicy food now? It seems that I'm also meant to lead a hard life because if the room is too good (aka Bali Villa, my best Groupon yet), I never want to step out nor take pictures. I mean it. And I'm so proud we did not book advanced accomodation at times, which led to more adventures (instead of disasters), which is a step forward for me.
P.S. I've thought of a new way to blog - copy and paste desired photos to new folder, upload photos to flickr and copy and paste html code to blog post. It's very much faster and guess what? It's linked to my flickr account! So now you have access to my boring flickr too (Note: fifty over thousand OTHER photos are private). I would definitely recommend flickr(pro) as a platform to store and view your photos securely instead of facebook (it's powered by Yahoo!).
Meanwhile back to Cijin off Kaoshiung, well, it kind of reminds me of Bali, unexpectedly BIG, tried to walk (correction: I INSISTED on walking) which almost killed me to get to the other end (the less touristy ferry terminal back to Kaoshiung (the part that I wanted to go to anyway) which I just found out about whilst on the island.
