I don't think I've ever blogged about any accommodation on a trip, I'm pretty budget and laissez faire like that. Sometimes it's not worth mentioning or I don't have enough material. Well, this is my first (and hopefully not last) post on a place worth blogging about - Villa Relax in Cingjing (website here).
It's hard for me to rationalize how 白熊屋 (bai xiong wu) which literally translates to White Bear House, is called Villa Relax. I can't figure out how the English name came about. Meanwhile White Bear is the owners' previous Golden Retriever. If my memory has not failed me.
Location-wise, it's not exactly near the attractions (might need to take the shuttle bus or walk a while), it can be quite a steep walk down (yes we tried both routes down the road and the steps, so take your pick between a long, easy walk or a short, steep climb). But it is rather homely and relaxed, as its name suggests.
