Tip 1: Suggest visiting during tournament time, or at least when chanko nabe restaurants are open
I wanted to try chanko nabe - hotpot for sumos! But we either couldn't find the restaurant or it wasn't open. So we had katsu instead - not bad - very authentic (read: no other tourist, but they had English menus I believe!)

Stop by souvenir shop (Admiration for the towel artist - to differentiate between these many sumo wrestlers)
Stop by the washroom - very minimalist and functional
